... we hit Bishop which is full of outdoorsy shops selling hiking and hunting gear, all of which Sarah now thinks she needs - I call a halt to this shopping frenzy when Sarah starts talking rope tension properties with one of the shop assistants. ... all went swimming at the pool and rode bikes. After that, we cooked out chicken for dinner. After dinner, we went over to Nathan and Ryan's RV and roasted s'mores over the campfire while we watched Yogi Bear outside. It was so much fun. ... stay at the Quality Inn. We are told to remove EVERYTHING from our car with an odor, including lotions, because the bears will tear into the cars with odors. Again we find that we have no air conditioning, a fan and an open window. It takes just a little bit to cool down the room. The air outside is very cool.

Next door is a John's pizza, the only place in town that is open. So we get dinner there and finally end the day. IT WAS AN AWESOME DAY!

... As we entered the park and Yosemite Valley, sheer granite canyon walls surrounded us and the occasional waterfall cascaded down. We drove deeper into the valley, Mike pulled over so we could admire the view of Yosemite Falls, the tallest waterfall in North America.
