Is our two month trail anniversary! We also broke 900 miles today. As a reward, we went into Reds meadow for a solid lunch with dessert pie. On a last minute decision, we took the shuttle into Mammoth Lakes. Nice hotel at Holiday Haus, nice relaxing evening. Ahhhhhh. We drove six hours through Yosemite National Park, to Mammoth LakesCalifornia. I played my iPad and I played Wipeout on it. We have a swimming pool at our RV park. ... works. We descended as quickly as possible but it still took 2 hours and by the time we reached the bottom we were saturated, including our boots and backpack. The next day it was baking again and we managed to hang our stuff out to dry in the public area, much to the bemusement, and amusement of some of our fellow campers. ... is 4.6 miles one way. It took us about two and a half hours to hike up, and the views were spectacular! At the top, we could see half done. Hopefully we will get the permit to hike it.
