... So the whole floor gets wet when I shower. And there is no hot water! Cold showers aren't the worst thing here though. I have a/c (or air con as the South African's call it) and not I have a fridge that Ba Tukta gave me. I have a water kettle, some dishes, and a wardrobe, and that is about it.. Starting the trip
... so you kinda have to walk or take a tuk
tuk. We took a motorbike because it was rush hour and the traffic was
blocked. First I thought, i'm not insane I don't go on a motorbike
with a thai guy, but in the end it was the right decision and actually fun as well. The motorbike drivers go
everywhere, between the cars on the pedestrian walk, again between
the cars and so on. What an experience;)

Bangkok - meeting an old friend.
Yesterday started with a visit to one of Bangkok's most sprawling markets, Chatuchak market. The scale is difficult to describe beyond that there are over 8000 stalls with as many products on offer that you can imagine including live animals such as goldfish to snakes, shoes, bags (Silvia was in her element and Aaron was bored stiff..) and even the odd Justin Bieber fake t-shirts. Prices were good, although a good strategy in any haggle was to divide the price ...

... reply that it would be all good if the tickets were delivered. What does that mean?? Anyway I was so excited when we checked in to find that the tickets were in fact there. So maybe I could now relax and enjoy what was left of my 42nd birthday....no of course not!! I am now worried if the private tour guide I have booked for a city tour at 9am in the morning will show. I will keep you posted.
