    ... trestle...
    10m long and 4m tall... not exactly the worlds tallest and longest we were looking for..
    But as far as CJ was concerned it was worth it as she got to meet a raccoon..

    Eventually we did get to the 'real' trestle... only 10k away from this one...

    Fantastic sight.. it has been restored as a section of a walk trail project which will span the entire width of Canada... ...

    Starting this has been sort of difficult, as I'm not really sure where to begin or what to say. I want to thank everyone who took the time to send us off.     ... to see some amazing creatures in their natural habitat so I'm happy! We hiked back to Toby and had some lunch - one of the perks of taking your home everywhere you go ha. Then we stopped in at Nanaimo to grab some supplies and headed roughly 30km north to Parksville and set up camp at Rathtrevor Provincial Park.     No point in going into that here at any length as all those details will unfold in...oh 62 days or so.
    So......what to do for a couple of months then?

    ... me. The ferry ride was okay, sat around and chatted. Once we got to the mainland my parents took us out for breakfast (at Dennys). Of course, breakfast was another photo-worthy moment on our first day of travel. After breakfast though my mom and I had a bit of a meltdown, the typical female crying sceene.
