There were a few clothing stalls, a hat stall, a gloves stall, and only one jewellery stall. At all of the other markets which I have visited, jewellery stalls seemed to be in abundance. These were not Artisan markets, though, so that may make a difference. Apparently there are also markets on Saturdays, so these may be bigger than the weekday ones.

... avanzada. En la calle compre una pizza turca, que mas bien era como un burrito grande con carne de res, verdura y salsas, estaba buena, al parecer hay mucha gente de Turquia viviendo en Alemania. Otras curiosidades es que Varios letreros en las calles y la gente cuando les preguntaba direcciones decian "esta a tantos metros" en vez de decir a 10 minutos caminando o a 5 cuadras, creo que como los trenes eso es parte de la exactitud alemana. ... monument for the Soviet soldiers and the Jewish monument, a series of different sized stones on uneven ground, walking through it was really surreal.
We walked over the checkpoint charlie, the scene for some of the great stand offs of the cold war, with tired feet we walked about to our hostel for a well deserved beer and sleep.

What a wonderful New Years..
... miles away from home. All I could think about is "What am I doing here?" and this will be my home for the next 4 1/2 months..to top it off when I get on the 109 bus to go to my "new home" there's a ruckus on the bus between the driver and a couple passengers. Apparently the passengers thought that they got ripped off and threatened to call the Polizei (police). The yelling in German was not the greatest first experience in Berlin. ...
