... this was the morning that the wifi decided to play silly buggers and the iPad decided not to display any emails. Anyway we decide to risk it - we needed a car regardless. Off to Heathrow and we remember that while we aren't sure who we booked with, it was through Qantas so there are only really three options. Nope no booking ... Still not sure how it happened as we both remember sitting at the computer and doing it. Unfortunately we had to pay through the nose for the car. Oh ...

... learned that the area of the labrynith was able to survive with no water. Wow!!!! Following this visit to the gardens we headed to manchester to see my sister, brother in law and niece and nephew. The GPS was great and took us on the country roads to avoid the traffic. ... refugees running onto the road stopping traffic and trying to get into the back of trucks heading for the ferry. It was incredible to watch these men and women attempting to physically pull open the backs of trucks to try and get into the UK. After finally getting through the traffic we had a lot of trouble trying to find the car rental place. Basically a lot of one way streets and road closures led to a lot of confusion. ... will be me striking out alone as opposed to joining a group of what are effectively strangers. The wonderful people I met along the way both before and since Bangkok have rekindled in me a huge desire to strike it out alone.
