... a place! Very opulent! Taxi drive to Hotel very informative. Driver great at telling us what and where to go. Arrive at Kempinski Hotel 6.30am to check in. Room not ready yet so go up to private lounge for breakfast and wait for room. When get into room (like a room for royalty!) unpack and go to mall (hotel attached to Mall of Emirates) for look around, money change , and SIM card. Wow again! Lots of people mooching around, and lots of shops. People snow skiing ...

And then a 14 hour flight across the world... Nanny watched 4 films and all the episodes of Cuckoo! By the time we get to Australia it will be ...

... through the slick and hugely impressive customs hall and are whisked to our Pyramid shaped Egyptian themed hotel - very "Vegas". I have to confess it is decadent......Sheik types everywhere..........resplendent in their white robes and head dresses.............contrasting with the shabbily dressed Europeans kitted out in their usual crumpled M & S shorts and teeshirts! What on earth do they think of us!!!!!!!! We are processed by James and ...
