... The rain has closed in, the cloud dropped in over the higher mountains that encircle the bay. We skipped out to the boat last night, to rescue the tender which had floated across the bay and kindly been tied to a palm tree on the beach. Bonnie Lass sits proudly in the water, gloss varnished brown and pale sky blue trim. We shunted back the hull hood and laddered down below deck. It is currently raining a little but the skies look good. So we head up to the summer castle of the Spanish Kings. King James I to ...

... a couple of hours wandering the streets. it is a very beautiful and clean city with lovely narrow lanes and nice shops. On our way back to the shuttle we stopped at a street side restaurant and enjoyed A glass of sangria while checking the wifi. The shops here suggest a well to do clientele and that is supported by the number and quality of the pleasure craft in the Marina. The Cathedral looked a magnificent site but unfortunately we did not have time to visit. ...

... now 9) last year when they spent three months living in Napa (through their wonderful cousin Bea, who used to be Sam and Henry’s pre-school Spanish teacher). We also got to meet Carlos when he came to visit. It was a great reunion to arrive at a beachside restaurant and find them waiting for us. Beautiful afternoon, our first real paella and the best Rioja yet (thanks to Carlos’ ordering skills.) The girls were great friends ...
