... Michael stayed at the hostel to sort some things out on the computer. To hire the bikes for a day was only $2 and if you return them within half an hour it was free. So every 29 minutes we returned our bikes and then hired them out again meaning we didn't have to pay anything. Not bad! The ride was actually really nice, along the river where we had ran the previous night. Everything was so modern and there were plenty of places to just chill out to enjoy ...
... we were in the way of the surfers and took off to go to the main beach. I spent the next three hours amongst the waves while the others tanned. For lunch we went to a cafe and I had toasted sour read with tomato, ham and basil. The others decided to have ice cream afterwards as well. ... filled with sensationalized over the top croc feeding. Well it was a little sensationalized but much of the show was done with many different birds flying all around the stadium. A little theatric but I was amazed. They had rapator, vultures, large eagles and the largest bird a condor, as well as mackaws and lerakeets, and cockatiels, all in flight. It was the highlight for me. The show ends with 2 guys feeding a huge saltwater croc. It just looked dangerous.
... we headed inland to Yandina and Wappa Falls. Not, as the name might imply, a huge falls but a very picturesque place. I imagine when the rains are heavy the river flows much faster.
