Dive Day 1 - A Rough Start
... dripping into your eyes is definitely not pleasant. On the walk to the store we saw 2 gray birds - boobies! (HA!!!).
After the store I came back to the room and sought refuge in our cool, air-conditioned room. That, and I felt like I was getting sunburned (which of course I was). I ended up crashing out for a few blissful hours. Sun + fear + diving + crazy humid heat will really take it out of you.

Day at Sea/Formal Night...

And You Thought Only A Hoover Sucks ...
... someone in another group ends up with a huge hickey on his back.
We are allow to touch and hold the stingrays although holding them takes a few tries for some of the people from Texas. For feeding, we are given pieces of squid and told to hold them like an ice cream under the water. I now know what a piece of dust feels like when a Hoover passes over it. It really sucks!

... just swimming but we have to do various skills tests on the ocean floor, today it was removing our mask, which doesn't sound too bad on the face of it, but when you're out in the open water it feels weird and quite scary. Another test is to manually inflate your BCD whilst below, so again taking out your regulator (breather) and blowing up a tube... anyway we did it ...
