... as we sipped our tropical drinks and Jim and I savoured scrumptious local fish.

Like the waves on the shore that we hear throughout the night, the days roll by with a contradiction of consistency and variety, welcoming whatever and however much we choose to do. Coming to Hawaii for four weeks offers us a relaxing pace knowing there are many other days ahead to do what we thought we might do, and didn't, today. Soon our ...

... still early to see much action, so even our guide was amazed by what we saw on his third day out. There are no words to write that could capture the sight of whales breeching 800 metres away and 5 whales spouting, diving and chasing each other almost within splashing distance. We also added french toast with bananas, roasted macadamia nuts, ...

... a banana chip and fried onion. While in Rome! Andrew had pork spring roll and the roast lamb. For dessert I had tiramisu that melted in your mouth and Andrew had chocolate and strawberry truffle cake which was a bit dry but was just like a chocolate cake. We also tried a glas of Oregon wine that Chanda said was so awesome. Not anything like our wines, Andrew Pinot Noir tasted quite young but very light mine was Pinot Gris and was probably the pick out of the two, ...

I am a good swimmer....mmmm, let me rephrase that. I am a VERY good swimmer. A strong swimmer, I am also a scuba instructor and have taken diver rescue training. In my dive career I have saved 2 people from drowning - one at the surface and one 40 feet down. So, when Jeff gasped out to me "I'm really in trouble" and he disappeared under the waves, my mind seemed to hit overdrive. But I'm getting ahead of myself...

Today we are heading for Malu'aka ...
