    ... island for a good hour before the captain decided they had probably had enough for one day, and moved us on. It brought back strong memories of the last time we saw humpback whales up close, in Tonga on our last big trip where we snorkelled with the whales and became smitten with these peaceful giants. It is something for which the word 'awesome' could have been invented; something that lifts you out of yourself, and stays with you for as long as you live.

    ... but we didn't want to be like Jack was and wake up at 4am, so we thought we would try and stay up to a reasonable time tonight. Stopped off at Safeway on the way 'home' and got the last of the food and drinks, and went back to enjoy a cold drink before being lulled to sleep by the sound of crashing waves. Wow, this is paradise! I think we will sleep well tonight!!!
