We were up and out by 8.30am after breakfast in the hotel. It wasn't a quick affair today as a different staff member was on the counter. He seemed very slow and the queue was out to the door. By the time I got served I was losing the will to live and he then left my order half made to take a call on his mobile in the back kitchen. I totally lost my rag and asked one of the baristas to tell him to come back and finish serving me. I think he knew I was ...

We finally get to the top and yes it’s breathtaking and yes we’re totally over it and only last about 10minutes up there taking it all in. it took us 3 hours to get up to the top, which to me, is far too much hiking, haha.

As it turned out, the restaurant was fabulous and there were no balls to be seen all evening...(GOLF BALLS PEOPLE, I MEANT GOLF BALLS!)

We all had delicious meals ...

Wow, Wow Wow - when I came to Lk Tahoe 20 plus years ago there were 2 casinos on the Nevada side and a beautiful lake with a lot of Ponderossa Pine trees surrounding the lake. Now there are people all around the lake and shopping centers full of expensive clothes, shoes and sporting goods everywhere. It is still a beautiful area ...

This morning the plan was to do a circuit of the Lake and have a look at what's here. The light snow makes everything look amazing. Here in South Lake Tahoe there are heaps of chalets and homes nestled in the forest. Quite a few businesses are closed for the end of the winter season and there are contractors and builders busy.

First thing we wanted to do some washing in the hotel laundry. The weather was still ...
