      ... area, which is a great spot to practice, being here in mid-desert. We saw several fighter-bombers come in to land. I also have a few shots of these planes.


      Fallon is a town of about 5,000 folks. We're parked in a Casino RV Parking Lot, which suits us just fine. We had a good lunch in the cafe and "invested" a few not-very-hard-earned dollars at the machines. No luck, no foul...

      ... s…..with no luck. Can’t believe it, there are no restaurants here that are open for breakfast so we took the under the street tunnel to Harrah’s. Went to the Forest Creek Café. Good food a little expensive though. Around 10:00am we received a call that our lunch cruise on the lake was cancelled due to strong winds. Dave decided to stay in the casino and play some keno and Elisa and I took a walk to the Heavenly village Shopping center. ...

      ... were all crowded in together, there was not enough space for anyone to use the spare tent, and it was sloping.
      On Tuesday we set up camp, I had a quick shower and then George and I cooked dinner while our other group member Ernie showered, as we knew we could get more done without him! We made burritos with rice, mince and beans, and real corn tortillas, they were delicious.

      I washed out some clothes but our fire was very smoky that night so they didn't smell so clean ...

      ... Then we were joined by Geraline and Walter who were respectively a judge and a heavy-hitting lawyer. Now these two were a lot more normal and they want to visit us in Cyprus. They are a lovely couple as is Will and Caroline but they do indeed peak early and incredibly leave before the fireworks. The fireworks kick off at 9.45pm and are spectacular but that's the last we remember of the night!! ...
