... a new experience. Because we are into the winter season, the first ferry to Mull was not until 10 am, we had a leisurely breakfast at the boarding house, starting to chat and get to know the others on the tour. Cheryl and I have made an obvious connection with the German woman travelling on her own, and that is a good thing. We sat and chatted with her on the first 45 minute ferry. Once on Mull, we had ...

Day 86

I estimated the distance from Fort William to Oban at 60 miles, a convenient 3-day walking distance so I earmarked 3 days in mid-August to tackle the next section of the coast. The coach we were in was the closest to ...

Devil shooting a train wow then he slapped me and said with the camera quick before its over the viaduct, so out the window i went and man talk about cold and that wind was blowing like no ones business making me make funny faces like a dog with its head out the window. We soon arrived at our destination and were wallking up to get a photo of the steam engine when all of a sudden we were flung in air as this squall of huge winds and rain hit every one ...

... feet above sea level. Our photos don't do it justice! The mist has now risen which gives us fine views of Ben Nevis.

Next we are heading off the beaten track to see the Chaig-Aig Falls. The route takes us along a single track road alongside a beautiful loch for many miles. There are not too many other vehicles on the road but there are plenty of passing places so it isn't a problem. Following the path from the car park, we first meet the falls at the ...
