It took a couple of weeks in Hyderabad until I actually did something of note. The first two weeks of work revolved around only seeing the hotel and office. It didn't feel like being in another country (with a couple of exceptions). Working with different people, eating different food, but it's still the busy season routine of sleep, work, sleep, work, etc. The first weekend we did wander over to a nearby market to see what the various stalls were selling, but I wasn't really in ...

Sumana wanted to figure out why my phone didn't work to call her and why she couldn't call me. ...

... Arc de Triomphe in Paris because Charminar is a huge arched structure over one of the busiest roads in Hyderabad and the area around Charminar is known for shopping, though of a much cheaper variety than the shopping found on the Champs-Elysees. After exploring the endless shops of bangles and silks, we went to Shadab, a restaurant famous for great Hyderabadi Biryani, an amazing rice dish with spicy meats or vegetables. The food lived up to its ...

... another line where we got our tin tray of food. Observation: there aren't a lot of paper products because paper is such a waste!! Genius. Come on America. Get with the program. The food was so good!! Soso yummy. And guess what else... No utensils! Yeah!! That was actually a first. We had to push the rice and sauces around and scoop it into our hands and shove it in our mouths. Hahaha it was so hard. I'm laughing at the thought of is eating. There were other Indians sitting ...
