        ... subway, and found out that no Washington station had lockers.

        So rather than wheel nearly 40 kilograms of luggage around the city, we bought day passes to the subway, and made our way to Ronald Reagan airport - checked in the suitcases, had an early lunch, did a cache - and jumped back on the subway to Arlington Cemetery - the garden of stone.

        So...Ben and I are starting to wonder if the gods have it out for us and perhaps they find it amusing to keep us off the crags.

        The weather forecasts for most of our climbing days thus far have been quite disheartening:

        - 60% possibility of rain means it rains and storms,
        - 30% possibility of rain means crazy thunder and lightning storms,
        - 10% possibility of rain means thunder, lightning ...

        And down comes the snow......

        ... pork marinated in Jack Daniels bourbon, mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables. It is supposed to snow very heavy overnight so our plans tomorrow are dependent on travelling conditions. The highway we did today is supposed to have 8-12 inches of snow tomorrow and heading north it is not looking any better as we climb into the mountains heading towards Yellowstone National ...

        ... trip about it, one who had seen it the moment he set foot in it. I don't know what he was expecting when he got there and we definitely come from different places approaching this city. I grew up here and he's only just moved. After traveling for three months and spending a each week in a new place, I felt lik a stranger in this town and Boulder just didn't seem that great anymore. I really feel like there is a Boulder Bubble and when you travel on the outside for awhile ...

        ... kitty to pat along the way - always a good sign!

        Not minding much, we took the opportunity to rest and catch up on the ill-fated blog.. yeah, this thing. It's becoming more of a chore, but we are persevering with it as much as possible. Something to look back on in 30 years to remind us that we actually did interesting things once (albeit, not in Boulder... :)

        Up the next day and off we went toward Rocky Mountains National Park where some walkies awaited us!
