... While Gab and I were admiring the decorations and talking to our guide, the kids had found the candles and lit one each, luckily it was almost empty.
We drove up the coast towards the Rhodes Acropolis, today just a few columns and an arch, the more impressive site is on the coast side as you look back down on the picturesque beach and resort areas.

... mid morning and set off with our cases to find the hotel. It was blazing hot and for some reason, the roads are paved with river stones, laid on the short end (see photo). Looks gorgeous but it makes it nigh on impossible to drag the suitcase. And Andrew is dragging mine (the heavy one) as he has the muscle!

Very beautiful old city and ruins. 300 days of sunshine a year. Visited the Knights of St John castle. We have now visited the 7 wonders of the Ancient Greek and Roman world without really trying! Very warm day again but moderately cooler at 31 than they had 3 days ago - 47c. Sailed to Symi this afternoon, a very beautiful town with colourful houses perched on the side of the harbour.
