With an upcoming trip back to the States, I can't help but think of some of the differences between restaurant dining here in Vienna vs. the U.S.A. Frankly, in many ways, we've gotten spoiled here.

When you order beer, your choices are usually limited to what's on tap: light, dark, a mix of the two, or wheat. They're usually from one of the local breweries, or since I am often dining with Tim, brewed in house. They're always good. Additionally, you have ...

Coming back to Vienna is high on our to do list! It is such a beautiful and well used city! Vienna has been pretty interesting so far. Yesterday, we met up with some old classmates that just happened to be in the city at the same time as us. They were on a set tour and we met up at the Schnapsmuseum. There was a small presentation of the history of the beverage and then a massive tasting of the many different types of liquors.

We walked a lot today since the ...

Seven months or 213 days and one circuit around the globe later, I returned safely to my home base Vienna. Of course, homecoming was a weird mix of emotions and it took me a while to "resocialize" into normal life, but also it's been a good time to digest the intense experience and enjoy simple things of being home. The most precious souvenirs are priceless memories of people, places, happy and challenging ...
