... around a bit more. Really quite a cute village with the terraced vines starting right at the edge, and quite a few ancient looking vines right in the centre too. The stone terraces are necessary because the vines are planted up the sides of hills, but they also help to keep the vines warm.

According to the cruise commentary the Wachau enjoys a mild climate anyway. Hmmm, it didn't seem too mild last time we were here in winter and it was 1 degree C!

Every night there is a different Opera or Show performed, with a rotating schedule meaning that there is always something new to see. We waited around an hour to get our tickets (3 Euro each) to the sold out performance of L’elisir d’amore (The Elixir of Love) a comic opera, and then it was another 45 minutes before the show began but we had to ‘bag’ spots to see it. The Opera House ...

... walking tour. After we finished our meal we left and went back to our apartment room and we finally got the chance to soak up the surroundings. The room is huge 2 people could easily live there. We had our own kitchen, washing machine, shower, loungeroom and bedroom. It was awesome to have a room to ourselves after the previous evening. We slumped into bed and set our alarms for an early rise.

The alarms went off and we hop out of bed. This morning we are making breakfast ...
