Leaving the house at 930am we then headed to a place called Carnac, which is famous for its ancient standing stones. En route we passed by a family fun park which Rose, ever watchful for such an opportunity, asked if she could visit, mounting an effective campaign of persuasion! So we ended up stopping there for about two hours. Rose had a great deal of fun at the ...

We decided not to play with the credit card machine again today (we were only able to pay for one night at a time) and headed off around the estuary and Lorient to the submarine base and museums. ... village with a small naval position. We drove to the very end of the peninsula where there was a small protected harbour around which a later much larger harbour had been built that now included a large recreational marina with a few commercial fishing boats and many yachts and cruisers. There were several yachts in the bay. We ate lunch on the quay and after a while we returned to our ...

Hi! Welcome to the first proper European entry.
After very little (uncomfortable) sleep on the ferry, and a nap somewhere along the D769 near Huelgoat, I've arrived at Quiberon.
I've booked 2 nights at the campsite DO MI SA LA MI (cute name huh?) Thought I would ease into the trip and get a couple of comfortable nights while I learn the ropes..
It chucked it down most of the way from Roscoff but now it's fine and sunny if a little ...
