Belle-Isle or Belle Ile. This is my destination for the day. I grab breakfast downstairs which includes cereal with orange juice, my fav. Then I'm off. With only my camera and scarf. Takes about an hour to make it to Quiberon. I find parking next to the casino and then walk to the ferry terminal. A few other people are also buying tickets. I attempt to purchase mine. The ticket lady only speaks French and is not in a good mood when I step up. Luckily I look behind me for some aid ...

... mousse, amazing. Some kind of custard or pudding with a raspberry sauce on top and then a little cake with sweet and citrus elements. Good way to end a meal, but a lot of food. We arrived late after a big day of travel. A pretty town rising on both sides from a river with foot and road bridges every 50 meters.

After our delicious lunch we ate light in an upstairs Creperie run by a Mother and son. Just the job, a carafe of wine and a savory and sweet crepe each.

As we were walking about 100 or so runners with head lamps passed us, off on some nighttime endurance run I suspect. Completely mad!

... Now clearly a tourist site with many french tourists taking advantage of the long weekend to visit without the hoards of Poms.

A picturesque stop and a break from inland visits, the remainder of the trip in France will follow the coast.
