... amazing gardens, including a lake, tennis court and maze. The gardens were divided into sections, and while looking spectacular, on closer inspection, there was an assortment of lettuces, cabbages, zucchini, pumpkins and tomatoes growing in the whole front section. Tan other terraced area was the herb gardens, the beds in geometrical patterns, with the herb beds symmetrical. Beautiful as well as practical. Returning to Tours on a different trail, we somehow got lost yet again, ...

A trip to Tours to recharge ipad and shop before revisiting the Morinières farm for it's monthly market day. Coming home with provisions fresh from the farm for the next two days we waited out thethunderstorm which finished a small heatwave of 34 degrees. At eight we were seated in L'Aigle D'Or for what turned out to be a special night of good food and some old wines. A 2008 sancerre and a 1999 medoc after a cremant de Loire had us in the mood to open up just like the ...

... it alone and the argument was getting louder. Either the ticket man didn't understand what we were all on about or he couldn't care less but either way we didn't have to pay for Ruby. It was a strange place. The first floor was really cool with lots of illusions and magic mirrors and things that really entertained the girls and they were running about in great excitement. The next 2 floors were a giant snoozefest and then the top floor had an ...
