... br> We then headed over to a water pad across the street in a mall so the kids could play. The fountain just had spouts that changed in height which was enough to get wet but they had to work at to get soaked. Both kids worked at & enjoyed their time doing it. It only lasted a about 30mins before they started getting cold since the area didn't get a whole lot of direct sunlight.

... airport, at the ungodly hour of 3:30 am (I said goodbye to him the night before!). From all accounts, he had a great time, and we certainly enjoyed spending time with him, showing him the good life of retirement!

D & I spent one last day at Lake Pleasant, but we weren't lonely for company, as friends Jim and Cass came out for a visit and a long lunch of pasta and salmon ...

... Apache. In the chaparral section of the trails there is a desert oasis, which was perfectly complimented with a boat containing several Chihuly pieces with more ice-shaped glass floating in the water. It was an amazing oasis and pop of color among the reeds and we sat for a bit just taking it all in. It took over 2 hours to see all the gardens (including the gift shops which were both filled with delightful garden-themed products). ...
