      ... boats - huge and more like small ships than boats. I did think that the fun fair that was along the waterfront was a little tacky and un-Monagesque! However the palace is still the same and we were lucky enough to see the changing of the guard which was a bit of pomp and ceremony. It's 4pm now and we are back on board having a quick rest before caviar and champers at 6pm followed by dinner and dancing! I can't stand all this ...

      ... I think I did ok. The girls in my department seem really nice. Christine in charge of the department is lovely. She is French but speaks really good English but cannot manage to pronounce her h's. Viktoria is Yugoslav and she speaks fluent Yugoslav, French, English and Italian as well as having a good knowledge of Russian and a few other languages. She is very smart.       ... of renovations, they are moving everyone in the next hostel. I thought they could of emailed me this information when they emailed me to find out my check-in time. Affordable places to stay in Nice are plenty, but since this new hostel had a place to lock my luggage which is rare although everyone advertises it, I decided to stick with it.       Michelle and I wanted to do some scenic driving and Diane told Michelle that she enjoyed renting a scooter and driving to Monaco. My history with scooters, I didn't really want to do that so I looked into cars. It wasn't too much more to rent a car for the day, so we decided on that. We made it to Monaco safe and sound. Phew!
