The royal palace was a bit of a let down. It was nowhere as well done as the Palacio del Marques de Dos Aguas in Valencia. The Palacio del Marques de Dos Aguas was free on the day of my visit, and you can take all the pictures you want! Now, the royal palace as a structure was very impressive, and I was glad to have visited. Oh, yeah, no pics allowed inside the royal palace.
Hmmm...I'm exploring on foot and there's a lot of tourist around and a lot of shops. As the last leg of my trip, I'm a less hesitant about buying stuff because I don't have to lug it through a few cities. And I know Madrid is the high fashion place in Spain. If you like the stuff from Zara, here are a few others with better quality.

Today we got on a train to the beautiful, semi-majestic city of Toledo.
We admired its ancient streets, met the three monotheistic religions, had a REALLY bad lunch and worked on our cardio with the intense slopes of the city.
A great dinner finished our time in Madrid.
Early tomorrow morning we`re off to Lisbon.
