... to take us to eat and he just kept recalculating! We finally arrive at Flippi's pizza Grotto, in Little Italy. This was once the tuna fishing and canning capital of Ca. We had chicken parmigiana and lasagna with ravioli. EXCELLENT! HUGE! Enough for dinner tomorrow too. Back to the hotel to collapse.

After a few days we have settled into the apartment. We convince ourselves that this must be the way of living here and are used to it. They asked where we were going & when we told them they said "do you have to do that"! One of the sons liked the colour of Peters bike and he promptly said I used to have a black one but it got stolen, later he said he felt ...

... Then took the Old Town Trolley tour on a loop starting from Balboa Park. Was fun! Some of my favourite bits were little Italy, old town, the waterfront (big military ships and museum), Gas Lamp district, and the AMAZING Coronado. Next time, each of those places is getting some proper time and attention. Sadly heading back to LA today (on Pacific Surfliner again so not all bad), but San Diego is on my list to come back ...
