... San Diego - a beautiful coastal city close to Mexico. We appreciated the chilled out vibe here compared to LA where everything is so frantic. San Diego has the most sun on the West Coast and the weather was gorgeous. We visited the world famous Zoo which housed Pandas, Koalas and 5 varieties of bears along with over 300 other animals. The zoo was also a conservation sanctuary for a lot of endangered animals and took us a whole day to go around. The central ...

... the day, and the painters left because there was a storm coming so we had the whole place to ourselves. The rain didn't come but a big dust storm did. After it finished we ventured outside for a dip in the pool and spa. Felt really spooky knowing we were the only ones there, probably because the hotel was decked out like an old western movie scene complete with wagons and the old look of the towns a couple of hundred years ago.
