Oh my - today has been so busy that I hope I don't leave anything out! First, we went to the Gulf State Park Pier, which is approximately a quarter of a mile long. Quite a hike to the end of that thing, and back. Josh made pix of Larry and me in about the same place we made pix on our honeymoon, in 1989. I made pix of the two Fresnel lenses in the museum especially for Ali, who loves them. They really are beautiful.

... This bird is NOT shy. We both were making photos of it as we walked closer, expecting it to become alarmed and fly away. Not. By the way, Josh has named this bird Carl.

Tomorrow, we're going to a yard sale at a big church about five miles up the road from the Gulf Shores Plantation. YAY for yard sales! (Although I fear that a yard sale here will be very much like one at home. I'd like to find beachy stuff.)

Expect the Unexpected

... our motor mounts replaced.

Six days later the mechanics finally tracked down the "difficult to find" part in Michigan, tapped the mounts, installed the part and let us know it was ready. Cue more problems. The battery light was staying on permanently, meaning the alternator was not working properly. Although having the motor mounts repaired and replaced was supposed to fix the intermittent charging, we had to take our car back into Pepboy's.
