What I have learned this month...a new and
Totally different way of life. I suggest inland sailors all move outside & be apart of this cruising world.
1) women aboard are not just mate to cook, wash cloths and scrub boat.
2) be flexible for unforeseen problems, Life happens.
3)cold showers and emptying head :(

... br> Our target destination was Wacca Wache Marina but we had such a run going with the favorable current that we extended to our first alternate stop at Bucksport, arriving just as the sun set. We are comfortable here for the night with fajitas for dinner and a peaceful evening ahead. Not much else to report. ... it is pretty much a ghost town. Everything is empty. The mini putt, water slides, amusement parks, and boardwalks are all silent and shut down. Even half the hotels are closed. We decided to take advantage of the off season and do what we haven’t done on this entire trip. We got a hotel room for the night. ... Bridge that marks the southernmost end of this boring waterway. An hour prior to the bridge the rain started and conditions at the helm rapidly became miserable. Rather than continue in the rain we decided to call it a short day and anchor behind the small island in the loop. Dry and with Mr. Heater going we read and napped until dinner. In the morning we took the Brew Masters advice and went to Bon Appetit. I looked up the restaurant and it turns out it's a pretty popular place. Dawson’s Creek and One Tree Hill have both been filmed there, Robert DeNiro celebrated his 50th birthday there and they were voted by TheKnot.com as the best wedding caterer.
