... of "uncle" from a local (its a showing of respect within the community and a great honor). Snorkeling the left point from the beach was great. Clear waters and a plethora of marine life were scattered about. Sams friend Scott that also works on Sams snorkel tour boat came and joined us. We sat on the beach and joked about checking out the right point for two sharks that were roaming the waters there on a regular basis. This was mainly a joke because you hardly ever see sharks ...

... towering above us as we lay on the sand and the natural reef offered a protected swimming area from the sharks notorious around the Hawaiian Islands! I think we both agreed that with the combination of the crystal clear water, the softest sand ever and the mountain crag backdrop made for one of the nicest swimming spots.

... and the being surrounded by God's creation is so good and healthy for the soul! The weather held out gloriously for us during our stay on Kauai (it's a risk coming here in February, one of the wettest months of its year). Having these moments reminds us that life is fragile and can change in heart beat, so when you have the chance, fill it with moments that count, and people you love! Smile, and enjoy life... you only get one chance at it so make it count :)

They are really big on Farmer's Markets here on Kauai. When we checked in yesterday we were given a list of them - one for every day of the week. After a quick breakfast of cereal and coffee, we set out. Dave had a ball, never stopped asking questions....At one point of the tour, I whisper to Erik to tell the other three that after the next stop, we would be going to the Seahorse farm for the rest of the afternoon.....The groans and shouts that were heard in the car were crazy, you think he said, we had to come back to the Mainland.
