      After that we drove back down through the hills and into Benidorm. It was quite busy compared to most other places since its winter and we walked around the shops there. I've heard its mostly a big party town and there were lots of bars and restaurants there but I think it was too early for all that to start.       Had a wonderful afternoon exploring Castillo de Sant Barbara (hugecastle/fort at the top of hill in Alicante) and listening to some of the 3 Reyes (3 Kings/Wisemen) festivities from the top of the castle. Tonight the 3 Kings (Wisemen) arrive! There were huge celebrations here in Spain. We could hear a marching band and see signs of a parade and huge crowds from the top of the castle. Later we saw on TV lots of celebrations all over Spain with kings and beautifully dressed women ...

      ... happened, but I expect John told her. I might well have found myself at the airport and Jill would have been going to my brother's place. Close call.

      It was terrific spending quality time with Jill. She and I chatted - probably non stop (except when we slept), for the whole 12 days, and we could have done more time and still been chatting. Great, terrific time spent with a wonderful friend. Jill.
