Shorter driving days now we're virtually in Southern Spain, so we were in Benidorm by lunch. Saw our first Big Black bull on the side of the road. There are loads around, but that’s the first we’ve seen this trip and Penny has them on her mind as she’s just been reading about the Brandy factory and the Bulls used to advertise it (think we’ll be visiting and sampling some when we get to Cadiz).

We went to the long sandy beach I had spotted yesterday from the tram. When we were getting ready at home, I looked at the map. It looked really simple, but it turned to not too easy. I like sandy beaches more than the rocky ones. I think it is more fun playing in the sand rather than carefully walking on the small rocks not to fall. There was a tram track right along beach. ... It took about one hour, then we finally made it to Alicante. we walked out of the stations and then we were next to a large road. It was not very busy. I like the city centre when it was not too busy. We walked down to the port. There was so many very expensive speed boats. We also saw a pirate ship but we didn't go in.
