It was a very early morning start to catch the train to Paris, Barbara met us at the station to say goodbye. We had to change trains at Geneva but otherwise a lovely trip, definitely 1st class is the way to go. On arriving at our very chic, somewhat unusual hotel we dumped our luggage and headed for the Eiffel Tower but not before stopping for a fantastic meal at a ...

I'm sitting in the Emirates departure lounge in Geneva waiting to board my flight to Sydney via Dubai in 50 minutes. ... waiter and arranged it. I was SO full, I had to go for a walk afterwards, as I strolled through the village the 10pm church service was starting. So in I go. Its catholic and its ALL in French. The only carol I recognised was silent night and of course that was an organ instrumental without singing! I was in the middle of the isle so couldn't escape. So there you go, Christmas celebrations began early, though really only in sync with Aussie ...

A cool (lovely after the heat and humidity of Rome) but rainy day. We wandered over to the International Museum of Reformation. Noel loved it and I had to drag him out of the place at 1.00pm as I was very hungry. It has an amazing number of original documents, lots of interactive exhibits, good commentary and English friendly for the most part. ...
