The views on the descent are stunning, accentuated by the blue skies and white clouds. We stopped on the way down to eat our second bread roll à la jambon cru. The only other stop was an unscheduled one due to a small herd of beautiful brown calfs that were being herded along the road by a young farmer, his wife and dog. We stopped dead and so did they. I guess they'd never seen an English couple on a tandem before.

Many phone calls and messages to start Christmas Day. So nice to talk to everyone, who all had full bellies and happy tales to tell. I really had my Christmas celebration last night, so much food not feeling like food at all today, plus I'm fighting off some bug/flu thingee so a lazy slow one for me.
