... waves were great. We walked along had Boardwalk and the pier. Every time a wave came through the pier moved with it. The boardwalk was great, you really get the sense of relaxation. People chilling out with a beer in the little pubs that fringe the walk, others on rollerblades, or skateboards zip pass you, while others are just out for a relaxing walk watching the ocean and others having fun on the beach. ... used to the different layout they have here in the NICU.

For now, just going to be continuing doing what I'm doing. Plans to go up to LA for a trip next week, possible birthday celebration (we'll see if I feel up to celebrating a year older :):) ha), not working Thanksgiving, and before you know it my momma and Mitch will be rolling into town to come visit! Many things to look forward to.

    Ta ta for now :):)

A great day, the highlight of which was a 2 hours ferry cruise around the bay. Unbelievable naval "hardware" (don't mess with the USA on water) and a chillin stroll around the water front.

More later.....off to bed to get up early for the flight tomorrow.

Thanks so much to Kit & Reg, 3 days to remember, shame to leave you.

... despite my hotel owner being adamant that it was not. The walk took me through a protected wetland populated with a variety of birds and I came out on a wide, sandy beach.

The surf pounded against the beach and, in case anyone was in any doubt, a red flag marked "peligro" fluttered in the strong breeze. Still a few people dared to enter and would emerge moments later looking somewhat bedraggled but relieved to have made it out in one piece. One who was ...

... dinner, a formal night with shrimp cocktails and lobster tails on the menu. Then later in the evening was the Dessert Extravaganza, an incredible array of desserts. On Friday evening the showroom entertainment was the finale of Dancing With The Stars At Sea. It was very entertaining, even though the boat was cruising through some rough seas.

So now we are in San Diego for the day. There are 30 of us who are continuing on to Hawaii later this afternoon. We really ...
