... offered to take over my camera to prevent another selfie from happening. Then more of the same... Hot tub, poolside bistro, will sure miss this. Happy hour in The Cabin of the Steamboat Grand was calling. Patrick made me a margarita as per my instructions with my fave tequila for only $13, and we had an early dinner of happy hour tapas. We met some similar tequila loving locals and had some laughs with them over Canadian stereotypes. Apparently we find ketchup too ...

I’ve just completed my 8th trip to Steamboat Springs and Vista Verde Ranch. So far I’ve always done a combination trip of downhill skiing at Steamboat and then a few days at Vista Verde Ranch for some backcountry skiing, horseback riding and snowshoeing. Our hike was absolutely wonderful. We started off near a little creek. We walked through tons of wildflower fields and through beautiful, lush woods. We could hardly believe we were still in Colorado because it was so green. After about 2 miles of uphill hiking we reached tree line. ... Nirvana. Then when we went to buy our bottle of wine to match our spaghetti supper, the guy (20s) at the liquor store saw Pete's shirt and said Nice Shirt ... and then showed us his tatooed O on his calf. Go Ducks!

We are back at Steamboat at the moment to catch up on e-mails etc and to plan the last few days of our journey.

... this is the outcome of snow all day and night.

Photo 9 is looking out to a sunset from the Gondala. Photo 10 is looking back up the mountain at the end of the day, more snow expected.
