    Day 42 - Bari Italy

A travel blog entry by ttdaniel on Sep 29, 2014

    Day 42 - Bari Italy
This morning after no sleep - thanks to the people in the cabin next door we started our day with a wonderful massage at the day spa. The massage was exactly what I needed. We then went for breakfast, then back to the coffee bar where I was served a soy latte without any hostility or confrontation! We disembarked at Bari at lunch time. Bari is the main city of the Puglia Region and the most developed province ...

Agriturisimos . . .Before we left for our trip, when I would tell people that we were coming to Sardinia, people generally responded in one of two ways: Where? OR Have you seen the Anthony Bourdain Sardinia episode?!? We had not seen that episode, so of course we quickly found it on Netflix and watched to see what Anthony Bourdain had to tell us about Sardinia. ... the director. He told me I needed to go to the bank that owned the ATM and stuck me in a van with one of the welcome staff to take me there.

The bank was in another town completely, Tortoli, and unfortunately the guy who was driving me there didn't know where it was. If you've never been to Italy I can assure you that the roads are not always clear and it's pretty confusing. He stopped to ask for directions a few times and eventually ...

Our first full day in Arbatax

A travel blog entry by malloryharvie on Jun 21, 2014

... nice. The food wasn't bad but it wasn't great either - nothing compared to the restaurants we had started to find over the last few days in Florence and Rome. Regardless, we made it work.

After we had dinner we went to the main pool area at our resort and had some drinks, using up the last of our Keiglevich vodka from the cruise. We only got wifi in public areas on this resort, so we also spent this time trying to connect. Unfortunately, the connection ...
