          So today was a travel day, headed down the street from the homely and good value Hotel Giglio to catch the bus to La Spezia, train to Lucca. Got on the right bus and occupied the handicapped area with my bag, not earning brownie points from some older ladies, but there were other spare seats.. Got off the bus early, but managed to find the tourist office and wandered up the main street of La Spezia, ordered a coffee and found free wifi. So found train and platform, ...

          ... book n thought not a 3 hr journey on the train system like this morning lets see if this will work. Train home in the dark hoping we were going in right direction. Water still over the road n parts. We have enjoyed staying at lucca, walk around at night, no one having dinner till after 9 , bike is main transport or walk, not a big tourist area either.
