    ... mozzies, but we now have buzz off, so hopefully she will be ok now. Its been hot here in the 30's so some cooler weather will be good. We are going to a town called Lucca which is a walled city. Craig and I are taking a bike ride so it should be fun.     ... forth. I was going to name this post 'how Lucca gave me a sore bum' but felt that was too racy. Oh yes, it has been some time since I have ridden a bike and wow I felt it. But it was marvellousness. Wind in my hair 'yeah F U helmet laws, those who 'ride do decide!!!'

    But it had to come to an end and we mercifully finished our ride with minimal abrasions and headed back by train to Florence.

    ... were resting on the hills creating a beautiful vista over the terracotta roofs. This was the highlight of my day.

    A visit to the Basilica of Santa Croce, the resting place of Michelangelo, Galileo and Machiavelli capped off the Florence chapter. Mid afternoon saw us on the trip to Lucca by train, a lovely walled city built in the 16th century. We are staying in a three-bedroom apartment. All mod cons except for WIFI. ...
