HAVE I GOT A STORY FOR YOU !!
okok, so, Monday I take the boat from Santorini to Crete. The boat docks at Heraklion Port, and I need to get to Malia, about half an hour away. We dock at around 8pm and my only option is to take a cab. Now, before I even left Santorini I googled the distance from the port to my hotel and at that point had already accepted the fact that it would be a semi expensive cab ride - whatever. It is grander, more complex, than any of the other palaces and it is located ...

... in case the seas were nasty and we set off for Fira, Santorini.

Santorini, classically Thera, and officially Thira; is located in the southern Aegean Sea and part of an island chain (archipelago). The chain was created from a single island due to a huge volcanic eruption. One theory suggests that the Thera eruption was actually where the Atlantis legend originated.

... driving cars or bikes down them. Everything was so narrow you couldn't walk on sidewalks (if they existed) because vehicles park on them within a foot of the buildings. Seemed weird the first day but by we were soon all just going around like the locals.

I thought Knossos was mindblowing, but 'wow' the Heraklion Archeological Museum was beyond that!! It is one of the largest and most important museums in ...
