... day whilst in the park I saw my first Bear! He was up a Huckleberry tree eating. Very cute. We also saw white mountain goats who Bav loved.
we enjoyed evenings sat by the fire in McDonald Lodge, this is a great venue and I would recommend it to anyone to stay.

We loved it here so much we extended our stay for a few days, it also gave us time to get a few minor repairs done on the RV. Now off to Yellowstone.... To see Yogi Bear! ...

... the border at Roosville only to arrive in Eureka in time for another spectacular thunder and lightening storm! We were given some free cherry pie from a fellow cycle tourer, which was gratefully received. Day 10. Thursday 21st August. Eureka to Tuchuck Campground. From here we cycled over the Whitefish divide to our first wild camp for a while, at Tuchuck Campground. This area is said to be "so wild that unruly grizzly bears are sometimes relocated here ...

... we’d climbed out of the valley on the way to Logan Pass. I woke D up about halfway through. There was quite a bit of traffic, and it was slow going, but very beautiful. When we got to the parking area at the visitor’s center, there was a sign saying that the parking lot was full and I feared that we’d have to circle forever to find a spot, but it turned out there was actually quite a few empty spaces. ... over it all and were wet and cold so we continued on at a pretty fast pace trying to stay warm and get down as quickly as we could. When we finally did reach the bottom we were 2 hours earlier than our agreed meeting time so it was a huge relief to see our van there ready to pick us up.
