... drove over to Running Eagle Falls. The trail to the falls was really short at about .3miles. We took some pictures while the girls played along the water’s edge. The light wasn’t great with some direct sunlight hitting the water so we decided to come back later in the day once the sun had set behind the ridge. ... they named it that. So we paid our $25.00 entrance fee and decided to see what we could see in the 16 miles of the park that are open. We took the road called "Road to the sun." I think someone forgot to leave directions. We found very little sun. The nice thing about off season? Less traffic. The bad part? Misty rain and hail that make it hard to see the scenery. That translates into I only got about 135 photos to weed through this evening. I love digital photography!

... due to bear activity there. We could see a bear down at the lake but it really just looked like a moving brown dot.
Also, on the trail were many mountain goats eating right off the path. Their horns appeared to be very sharp, but the must be a little used to people because they would not move unless someone got too close. Even though there was still a little snow around, there were many beautiful flowers and waterfalls to see.

... on McGregor Lake in the park to take a look and make the inevitable comparison to Pinecrest. The sites were small and mostly for tents and small tent trailer type campers. I am sure that there were motor homes somewhere but we did not see any. We noticed and remarked about how cool it was in the morning at Glacier. Campers were in jackets and some had fires going.

... a visit to the bar’s doorless restroom and an overdue game of ‘I have never’ later, we went home to bed.

On a night time trip to the restrooms, Alison and I found ourselves being stalked by a ‘wolf’, which may or may not have been a husky dog. Either way, we didn’t want to examine it too closely, and dived into our tent faster than we’d ever moved ...
