... this beautiful city. We joined a free walking tour to see the sights and get some direction...the guide proved to be overly sarcastic, to the point where we didn't know if he was joking about a 'historical fact' or just having a laugh so we left mid way to suss it ourselves. On the tour we saw Dan the pom staying in our bunk on the overnight train, we left the tour and asked if he wanted to go exploring with us. ... so went back into one of them. It was a tiny little pub with a slightly bigger room with some tables for dinner. We were the only tourists and there were a few groups of locals dotted around so that always bodes well. As with most other places we had been, the prices were super low so we all ordered up large with starters main and multiple drinks. It was all the traditional hearty food, plus the now favourite carpaccio! I think the bill came to about €20 each! So good.

... and spent my nights in an awesome hostel that had free dinners and a comfy kitchen and common room and each room had their own theme so mine was like a treehouse and had a few beds up in a loft, very cool. I did a walk around the "old town" which is actually the new town because everything was destroyed in the war so the buildings have been recreated to look old.
