All I could see was 2 very tall buildings collapse to rubble. It was like watching something out of film, only if wasn't a film, it was real. I have visited many memorials in my time, but all those memorials were of events that even my parents weren't alive for, so there is a level of disconnect. I said to my ...

... as amazing as the night. We got dressed and headed down for our free breakfast in the hotel restaurant, which is open to the public too. The weather was sunny but nowhere near as humid ...

... the sights that we can now go back to on another day. Back to the hotel for a quick shower and then off to the theatre to see "Violet". Violet a musical was good but I got really fidgety. We all had a piece of pizza on the way home. The city is still buzzing and incredibly loud. Back in the hotel room and fortunately it is pretty quite. Alarm set for 6:00 am as we are off to see The Statue of Liberty at 9:00 ...

... dirty. Everything also seems expensive, plus they want tips! We spoke to a lady on the air train to Penn Station (the end stop for the city) who said 10% for taxi drivers, 20% or restaurants if they're good, 15% if they're ok, and 10% if they're really bad. Go figure!

We walked down to Time Square and had a bit of a look - bought a data only sim for 7 days for $21 - text and phone as well was going to cost $80. I thought Rome was ...
