Terry told us that he worked for a casino or casinos in Las Vegas – he was their man in NY, although he sometimes had to go to Las Vegas. He has been divorced for 20 years. He had a huge black Cadillac Escalade SUV. There are literally hundreds of them in NY! In ...

... cop also gave us hints on how the Metro Bus service operates in the City. This bus service along with the famous sub-way system makes getting around so much easier once you understand it.

Coffee and donuts now well and truly in our stomachs, our energy levels reading full we set off towards the Automobile Show being held in the Javits Centre, about eight blocks from where we were.

The inspiration for my spending a few days in New York this month was the good trips I had in the city during summer 0f 2012 when I explored some areas of New York I pretty much ignored all my life. The event that spurred it at this particular time was a lunch meeting with my adventurous friend Marc.

I began with my usual bus ride from Central New Jersey to the Port Authority and a somewhat indirect walk from there to Third Avenue in the three hours I ...
