We loved our many stays at the KOA Lagoon
We have stayed at the KOA Lagoon many times, the last in April of 2005, and can say without a doubt this is the best deal. Clean rooms, beautiful yards, they keep up everything at this Condo, rates are just what we want to pay. Very nice personnel. Great view of the ocean, beautiful lanai's to eat on, just a wonderful home away from home. Enjoy!! Senior Citizens from Adrian, Michigan.
Wow - and in Maui, too
This was truly a wonderful surprise. What a great and beautiful condo on one of the most beautiful islands in the world. Our unit was huge and even provided us with a telescope to gaze at the stars on our own lanai overlooking the most beautiful ocean in the world. Our unit was newly updated and I think we were the first people to use the new toaster. What a special treat (after being in Hawaii for 7 days already) to find a new washer/dryer right in our unit. The bedroom was large and the kitchen was huge, clean and had all updated appliances. We had a beautiful living room and a dining room. The value was unbelievable and Linda (who runs this condo) was very nice and helpful. We did so much on the island, thanks to a concierge service they recommend and please ask for RW as this man knows EVERYTHING about the island. We could have stayed across the street at another condo for $20 a night less but opted for pay more for staying on the ocean. This is what Hawaii is all about. We were 10 steps from the water. WOW - WOW - WOW. We'll be back.
A beautiful and relaxing vacation
We stayed at the Koa Lagoon condo (rm 303) in May of 2005 for our honeymoon. Even after staying in a resort on Oahu for the first half of our trip we were really blown away by the comfort and coziness that the Koa Lagoon had to offer, especially considering the amazing price. Everything was clean and neat and the views were amazing. We spent many afternoons just lounging on the balcony enjoying the amazing landscapes. We are already looking forward to our next trip and know we will be spending our stay in Maui at the Koa Lagoon.
Very Good Condo in Kihei
We rented unit 507 (2-BDR, 2BTH) and it was very nice. Clean and with new appliances. This is not an upper-end resort by any means, but it got the job done with no problems at all. All units face ocean. Complex is on the beach, not across the street like some.
The beach outside is not a good swimming beach, but its nice for walks. Swimming beaches are close. There's a pool but no jacuzzi.
Shops and restaurants are about a half-mile down the main road.
We Love The Koa
The Koa is our place of choice. We stay 3 weeks when the kids get out of school. The price is right and it's very cozy like home. Linda is very kind and is always there when we need something. We love to walk the beach and drink our morning coffee on our privite lani. Mahalo Linda
Stayed here May 2004..The 2 bedroom 2bath condo was wonderful...had everything we could possibly need right there, with a great price. The beach was a bit rocky, but it didn't bother us. Plenty of restaurants and shops within short driving distance. Quieter area than Kaanapali or Lahaina which was what we wanted. We will be back!
Stayed April 2004. FANTASTIC views. All units are ocean front view. We rented 1 bedroom 1 bath unit. Very reasonably priced. Close to shopping, airports, nice central location to all.
Our unit at Koa Lagoon was beautifully decorated and had all the amenities. Large lanai and great view. Close to beaches and shopping but not walking distance. We enjoyed our 2-week stay very much.
Been to Koa Lagoon many times...always loved it. Great place to unwind and watch the sunsets. We were there Oct 2001 when the nation was is such turmoil and shock, and our feeling of peace was restored. The nunits are always well furnished and comfortable. We'll be back again and again.
We have been staying at this resort for quite a few years. Besides a quite location close to all. Units are great, clean nicely appointed.

... we prepared supper which was to be had poolside and camera for some Garner Comeault family photos. Duncan promised to keep his pants on. Photos were successful. We then went to put kids to bed and then the boys went out to consume alcohol and talk about the intricate details of war movies and which style of bikinis we liked best. I need to go to bed now. I'm pretty sure I cover all bases. See you tomorrow! ...

It all went down well except for the zucchini salad which, while it looked delicious, had, as Brian C. put it, "enough saline to fill your yearly quota." It was totally inedible but man, did it look good! The trip back was mercifully uneventful though the catamaran had taken on a slightly urinous and vomitus smell. Kids and Mel are napping now. It's a sunny day today in paradise nice to see the sunshine back I believe we are on a sunshine trend for a few days :-)))
The winds were high today so my first thought of paddle boarding was cut short with the high surf...again I have to commend Bryan for holding me back hehe. We made our way to Black Rock a ...
... The "blowing" of the water into the air varies with the tide levels and waves.
We spotted the "blowhole" as it shot into the air before we arrived at the location. Carefully making our way down the rocky and steep trail towards the ocean, we wanted a photo in front of the thing as it exploded, which seemed to happen every few minutes. Shane posed in front of it and waited. I waited with my finger on the camera for just the right moment. When it reach ...

Drove into the town of Lahaina this morning for breakfast. Linda had Tuscon Sunrise, scrambled eggs with Italian sausage, green peppers, onions and sprinkled with Parmesan cheese shavings. It was served with a scoop of rice. I had classic French Toast. While waiting for our breakfast they brought a warm freshly baked cinnamon role to ...
