... too cold where every body part hurt so we called it quits early. We found out that Heavenly closed early too because of the conditions. Our plan was to take Jalen to see fireworks at Heavenly village on NYE but we cut the trip short and left NYE because of the horrible weather. It is way to cold, highs of 18. Jalen played a few minutes in the snow but not long because his face turned red. He really did enjoy the snow and kicking it and throwing it. He will have a blast in ...

Right on time, the rain begins not long after we arrive so I quickly put up my tent before I get too wet. This is not so easy as the ...

... paperwork filled, safety briefings and of course finding wetsuits for the Walker boys (and Dylan) we were set loose on a lovely 10 seater power boat. We were also given a two man tube to drag out the back when we got out into the lake. Worryingly I was deemed the appropriate person to pilot the boat out of the winding marina. The sun shone on a beautiful afternoon as we made it out onto the lake unscathed and let fly. After being told off for letting fly a bit too much we ...

      South Lake Tahoe Day 6

A travel blog entry by theprocters on May 27, 2014

Another beautiful day! This morning we did laundry at the park facilities. After lunch we road our bicycles on one of the many wonderful trails in Tahoe. This particular trail parallels Hwy 89 and the south shore of Lake Tahoe. The sky is a deep azure blue framed by the tall green Jeffrey pines and snow capped mountains. So ...
