My overall impression about the Grand Palace complex was very good. I was by myself so I didn´t have to rush and took my time. I tried to absorb at least some basic information about the sight, captured hundreds of great shots and even managed to contemplate a bit. I was very glad to come.

My boss wasn't there, so I explained my reason for quitting to the (very nice) Thai admin lady of the school. To my surprise, she didn't seem to be THAT surprised that I was quitting. Hello everyone, welcome to my blog post about our time in Bangkok, the busy capital of Thailand.
We arrived in Bangkok, after an exhausting 12 hour bus ride from Siem Reap. The journey should have only taken approximately 8 hours, but with a long wait at the visa desk, confusing forms, a long wait at the other end of the border and several hours stuck in Bangkok rush hour, the drive was extended. ... shops and enjoying the sunshine by the pool. In the evening we stayed local as the parents had to leave around 10pm for their late flight.
It was a pleasure to have spent 4 days of our trip with them and to of experienced the water festival together.
We checked out and headed to a nearby hostel. As our visa was running out soon we decided to do a visa run. We managed to pick up return flights to Kuala Lumpur for £58 each.

... the locals price. He hailed a tuktuk for us at a very cheap price, and we found ourselves at a port undoubtedly for locals. Because it's slightly further out of the city, it's away from he normal tourist trail but essentially flies the same route ending at the Biggest temple to see in Bangkok. It was a great adventure and we were ever grateful for doing something out of the ordinary and at a cheaper price. The temples were huge and grandeur. As expected, tons ...
