... t what I thought Noosa was about. We finished it watching long board riders on the rocky back beach overlooking the park.
Made a side visit to some of Mum's friends up from Melbourne at the caravan park. Stayed too long, but it's difficult when you've got Mum on one side enjoying a cup of tea while I'm out kayaking up the river and then on the other hand Aidan is tired, Rosa is crying with an ant bite and Jo is furious ...
16.04.09: We went to visit Noosa and the beauty of the sunshine coast. Noosa is an upmarket little town, quite chic. There are loads of canals with houses with private beaches and piers for your boat. It looks really nice. We bumped into the Welsh couple we met in Fraser island again. We drove around the coast, stopping at different beaches ...
Noosa, Queensland, Australia leprefrog... not now the case after Cyclone Hamish!! - visited Gympie Terrace, which was the place to picnic at night right by the river - we had some lovely fish and chips from the local shop washed down with our wine. It was a great atmosphere there each time we went - met up with Darren Fisher, who also worked in Nationwide (and Zurich) - he arrived at Mary and Chris's just as we were leaving and had a great surprise when he saw us (Mary and Chris did not let him know we were around!)
Noosa, Queensland, Australia peacock49... the steering wheel could not be moved up any further, and Jutta could therefore have steered the car with her knees. We had no choice but to change seats again. Tanja - of course - had to move the seat all the way to the front, in order to be able to reach the gas pedal. Off we went - the mantra was left, left, left.... The drive to Noosa Heads would have been nice without the incessant rain. We had imagined Noosa to be a small village with a ...
Noosa Heads, Australia mugita... many fish of different shapes, sizes and colours. The coral was just as impressive in its weird and wonderful existence. It was an unforgettable experience. Aside from the wonderful reef, Cairns itself didn't have much to offer - just lots of strange residents! This didn't stop us from having a great time. Next destination: Melbourne . Dan - Melbourne is most visitors favourite city and with good reason. It is perhaps the least Australian of the major places with a ...
Noosa, Queensland, Australia sarahdan... like arena where the croc swims into from an outside pen and is fed and stalks the keepers!). We also got to see Koala's up close and personal and tigers. Whilst we got to see more Croc's again before the end of the day (they are massive, some up to 16 feet!). Fran spent most of her day trying to get photos with the large furry animals that walk about the park for kids (she had come across ...
Noosa, Queensland, Australia tomandfran... malym miasteczkiem z wieloma dzielnicami. Noosa lezy w srodku lasu tropikalnego. To miejsce jest jednym z najbardziej przyciagajacych miejsc w Queensland. Nie tylko z powodu najlepszych kondycji do serfowania ale rowniez z powodu krystalicznie czystej i cieplej wody. wasza Sabina
Noosa, Queensland, Australia binaunterwegs... for a swim in the sea - water was warm - pure sand on the shore and in the sea - so different to our childhood beach at Hengistbury Head near Bournemouth) - then started to listen to a book sat round the pool.... Late afternoon went to see the surfers - not much surf but they still managed to get some runs in. Saw the sun set - the surfers were still surfing...... Thursday 6 March 2008 - 22:27 Location: The Sebel Resort, Noosa Heads A day of two halves - decided to ...
Noosa, Australia lionelandsue... main base for the opposition against the dam is housed. The community spirit from that place was amazing, everyone pulling together and fighting the cause. We signed the petition against the dam being built - thought it seemed a worthy cause - and I hope they win. After all this political stuff we went up to the farm and chris pointed out the horses - they've got 4 - and the cattle - 700 in total! He took us up to overlook the farm on top of this massive hill ...
Gympie, Australia smiffy... sun was now very low on the horizon, giving us some very bright views.
As we passed the biggest bay we could clearly make out the local surfers strutting their stuff, and they indeed appeared most bogus and radical, dude. Woh!
