We arrived in Noosa late, as there had been an accident and we were stuck in traffic for ages! We got to Nomads hostel and checked in. We were in a room with a bunch of Newcastle lads who were trying to persuade us to go on the pub crawl. Having only just arrived we were good and said no, and went for a KFC instead :-) When we got back we had a drink in the hostel bar and the bouncer was really funny. The pub ...

... I am writing this blog three weeks after being here..Alan showed us around the camp we had been given to us for free to what we presumed was basic (oh how naive we were) it had a camp fire, a set of 'dorms' with home made wooden bunk beds for the first night and then tents for the second. We got back and had a few drinks whilst having a lovely Thai ...

After another pie for lunch, we headed to the airport and Brisbane. Our flight was uneventful and traveling here is like traveling in the states pre 9/11. Upon arriving in Brisbane we caught a train to our side of the town then tried to get some dinner. It's surprisingly difficult ...

Unfortunately it was time to leave our nice Hostel already and move further up the coast. Next stop was Noosa Heads from where we wanted to explore Fraser Island.

We choose to take the same mountain road into Queensland as we used yesterday to avoid the boring Pacific Highway (it does not travel close to the coast at any point as the name may suggest) for a while.

At some point it was time to get back onto the Highway again to make some distance. ...
