      ... some Mahi-Mahi (aka Dorado or Dolphinfish) the day before and they were serving them baked with an unagi sauce/sriacha mayo and served with island rice. We ordered the Ono dish and a chirashi sushi bowl. Both were excellent, well prepared and cut, and very fresh.

      ... we were leaving though our rental car was showing a warning light. We figured out that the light was indicating low tire pressure. (Manuals - amazing what you can find out. ). Being the mechanics that we are we stopped at a gas station to try to add air. Of course the air thing didn't have a tester so it was some what silly since we didn't know if it was working so we tried and figured that would hold us a while.       ... we took the Fodor recommendation and walked down to Tommy Bahamas to get a cheaper lunch. The food there was incredibly good and the waiter was very insightful. He educated us about various trails in Maui along with the attempts by the Hawaiian locals to succeed from the US.       I grew up believing that Americans were overly patriotic, to the point of being belligerent. However, the more American places I visit I realize that I envy their patriotism.       ... less windy there. Later in the day we drove North to Napili and all the way to Honolua Bay such beautiful country side. Lots of hills and switch backs, Bryan did a ride there the other day and there was one hill at 20% grade crazy hard! We stopped and watched the surfers at Honolua Bay that was something to see.
