... pictures, but not very many go further than that. To hike deep into the crater, it can take all day. By the time I was done here, I went onto get my dinner and watch a movie before headed to the airport. I got the overnight flight from Maui to Seattle, which helped save money on a hotel that night. I went straight into work that morning at my new job and seemed to not be too tired. Life is good and I'm happy that I got to see Maui!
... home the gold with a free t shirt! The extra points were allotted for a strong showing of my dermatographia and a drawing of an octopus on my belly, a saga all its own which began with a turtle on my leg for Jake. All aboard insisted if they had such a gift they would be drinking for free at every bar in Maui, and would have no need for tattoos.

... was shy but happy. I couldn't help but be reminded of a set of "famous" photos of my Grandma and Grandpa Wiens that were taken when they were in Hawaii. Both my grandma and grandpa look a bit shy, but also quite happy to be standing with these dancers. I think my grandpa would be proud of both Macyn and Owen's delight We found ourselves back in Kihei around 10pm and all of us were pretty tired. It was a great day! ...
Good morning, we awoke to the darkness 6AM when you are in bed early after a day of sunshine it isn't hard to awake before the sunrise. I just love the mornings watching the color's enter the ski, it's so lovely to hear the sounds of the waves hitting the shore and birds chirping outside.
I forgot to mention yesterday afternoon when we were walking the beach to Duke's we say a great show of whales, there was one playing around ...
... aren't included in the above highlights. What can I say, except that Hawaii has been very, very good to us. I feel like I left part of my heart in Hawaii and I know we'll be back one day.
These are some of the photos from our time in Maui with Chris's folks, brother Mike, and Mike's girlfriend Sue. We stayed in a condo resort called Kamaole Sands in Kihei and had a relaxing, wonderful time. Thanks for such an awesome Christmas gift, Jim & Norleen!!!
