... no matter dry or wet - it is the same black.Amazing views and addition to this - there were several rare Hawaiian green sea turtles in the beach! I was so HAPPY to see them! Next stop - one of our must see - rare green sand beach, actually it seems to be the only one in the world! On Friday, we picked up the first of three rental vehicles we've booked while on the Big Island. This one, a Mustang Convertible treat for both of us, will give us more range on our explorations of the island from our home base. Due to the cost, we limited ourselves to a one-week booking. ... strolling along a lava rock wall (which are everywhere, by the way) on Ali'i Drive. They were bickering and pecking at each other. Odd couple. We've also smiled at the antics of the little lime green geckos that flitter about on our lanai and on the pool deck. ... and there was a wide array of different fishes mingling in the same environment. Under water coral was abundant, it was the brain coral prominent in the area as well as lava rocks making the coast line and atolls. I took the go pro from Andrew for a while and did some diving to get some close ups for the camera. It was a lot of fun and something we were looking forward to doing.
