The lesson is, don't wait for the 5 different ticket offices to say there's a free option after complaining about the cost. Never assume people who should know will tell you, always ask. ... s team overwhelmingly win the first game, one of Ype's friends practiced his English with me (he knew almost nothing but was very enthusiastic) and I read a bit in my book. During the rest of Ype's non-field hockey time I mostly read. Ype's second game got a bit more exciting with Ype much more involved with the thrilling final score of 15-13 (I may have embellished the scores to add to the excitement).

... a night in NYC like our previous traveling companions.

I have enjoyed the opportunity to re-live the trip. Though I would have made a better travel reporter if I had uploaded the photos as we went, it was fun being able to look back through them five months later. And I look forward to re-reading and re-looking and re-living for years to come. I was inordinately blessed to have spent 3 weeks of my life roaming Europe with my family.

There was a very interesting display about the modern harbour of Amsterdam, with interviews with everyone from the harbour master (a woman), to customs officers to a crane operator.
