This will save about 10 hours of driving. After all of these stops, it was time for our evening walk. We went Sarrigaven Park, and took a walk out on the board walk into the national forest. It was almost 9 by now, and returned to camp. Finally found a radio station for a little entertainment; then off to ...

We saw lots of birds—Great Blue Herons, gobs of Black-Capped Chickadees, some tiny, tiny wrens (Pacific Wrens, we figured out later), at least a half-dozen Bald Eagles (still can’t get used to the fact that they are about as common as crows are at home), and a Belted Kingfisher, fishing in Mosquito Cove.
