Our last day in Prague today and given we weren't leaving the city until after 10pm we decided to take advantage of the 11am check out form the apartment and have an easy start to the day.
Once we had packed up to once again move onto a new city it was around 10:30 so we headed to the main train station to drop our bags in a storage locker …

We were up early so we could get a jump on the hordes we assumed would descend upon Prague Castle and set out just before 8:30am.
We walked across Charles Bridge before making our way up the road towards the castle.

... off to Charles Bridge and had a lovely walk towards St Vitus Cathedral (although I am sad to say it is a lot more touristy than I ever remembered). There we were greeted with a very steep hill and hundreds of steps in the blistering sun.
It was horrible. Elderly ladies were overtaking us with ease. When we got to the top we both had banging headaches and I thought I was going to rid myself of my lovely bland lunch. With this in mind, we decided ...
... a gold pen on his table, while the Chile President was talking the Czech President quietly slipped the pen under the table and into his pocket – he thought he was done it stealthily however everything was caught on camera and later was broadcasted all over the world! When he returned to Czech Republic the country tried to turn it into a joke an on the next public holiday the people sent the President thousands of pens, as he clearly had a shortage!

Flew out to Prague on 19th December. Dropped the car off at the airport,
caught the shuttle across to the terminal, checked our bags in, then
settled down for a four hour wait before our flight left. After watching
the horror stories you here about budget airlines (in this case
Easyjet) we weren't sure what to expect. Cancelled flight? Overbooked?
Lost bags? But all went well. Even the pickup driver was where he said
he would be. Met up ...
