... Asians understand each other, but the Turks still don't understand foreigners don't speak Turkish. We went diving our first day here. The water here is cold and the marine life isn't as vibrant. It didn't help the diving boat was fishing while we were diving. We saw one green turtle, which is apparently rare in the area. One dive guide said he's dived here for 7 years and hasn't seen one. We told him we dived in Sipadan, Malaysia and saw countless. ...

I took a shower and am happy to report that the water was hot, far surpassing that of what I encountered at the Edition Hotel in Istanbul. Given the choice between a marine bathroom with hot water or a spa-like bathroom with only tepid water, the marine facilities win out every time.
... of us spent the rest of the afternoon relaxing on the beach having a gossip about our travelling companions. There wasn't actually any serious gossip or scandal so we made a load up for our own amusement!!
The town is a real tourist town – loads of 'full English breakfast' places, beachwear shops, bars and restaurants. We went back to the camp site for a truck dinner of jacket potatoes with tuna / baked beans cooked over an open fire.
