    Napali coast tour

A travel blog entry by 2praskies on Jul 23, 2014

Today, we went on our much anticipated tour of the Napali coast on a beautiful catamaran called the southern star through Captain Andy's sailing company. We left port allen at around 7:45 and headed out to sea. We were soon thereafter greeted by a beautiful pod of spinner dolphins, who got their name because they jump into the air and can do up to seven spins. Physically they resemble the ...

... back to the main road. We saw a Red-crested cardinal sitting on the same fence post on the way in and on the way out.

Once we were back on Kuhio (coo-he-o) Highway, we headed south to Ma'alo Road which took us northwest to Wailua Falls. Along the way we passed a lot of flatter ground that appeared to be fields that are no longer used. There was a wait to get a parking place so Larry dropped Derek and me off while he waited. There ...

... to waste, so I took full advantage of the free beer. I was sipping on some cold ones while Captain Kelly was gunning it through the waves on the way back to Port Allen. I was getting lashed by water, salt, and spray, but it was a beautiful day and I had a beer in my hand, so I didn't care. It was a great way to finish the day!

On my return, I went surfing with Ron at Donkeys. However, I had a lot of beers so my surfing was not up to par on this ...
