... It's very lush and green on that part of the island due to the 12 inches of annual rainfall. So many beautiful flowers and trees! Rainbow Eucalyptus grow there. They are huge trees with multicolored trunks! We stopped along the way at a botanical garden and to take in the view. we ate dinner at Hana Ranch. It was the only restaurant we could find! ... quiet one hanging around the pool, I went to the local health food market for a salad again it really is a great place.

Our dinner out at Leilani's was very nice, no corn and lots of laughs. We had a drink at the Hula Grill prior to dinner met some nice people, a couple from Toronto and a couple from Green Bay so some "Packers" fans :-)

It has been nearly two weeks since we left Papua New Guinea, and it is remarkable to look back at what a unique and interesting trip we had there! Nearly everyone we meet has a similar reaction when we mention we were in PNG, "Wow, I've heard it is primitive and dangerous". Certainly both of those are true, but properly managed, they make for a great adventure.

... tourist industry which was the main reason for the harbour. When I say harbour; I guess I mean a Marina twice the size of our Auckland Marina's.

This Marina was also the Maui Headquarters of the US Coast Guard and there were two Coast Guard ships in port. They also had the best building in the Harbour also.
