... rental stalls. There were lots of joggers out as well as people walking, dining, even swimming and snorkelling. Lots of people start early here. We just lazed around this morning then went for a short drive north in the early arvo. Then I hit the beach for some snorkelling while Denise relaxed and read. The water temp here is about 24 degrees, it's beautiful and clear and I was surprised by the amount and variety of fish life to be seen without having to go ...

Visions of pulling around Hyatt's valet circle on the bad-ass bike and having my beautiful wife hop ...

Myra and I spent the morning diving at Mala Wharf near Lahaina. This is a concrete pier that was destroyed in the early 90's and the wreckage has been colonized into a reef. This was an amazing dive despite a rocky entry, with an abundance of fish types. We were blown away by close encounters of the white tipped reef shark kinda, some time with a Frog Fish, and more Moray ...

... lack of activity. This trip turned out to be the best trip in six trips we have taken since we have been in Maui. For about an hour, we followed a competition pod. A competition pod is a group of whales consisting of a female (whom everyone is chasing to mate with), an escort (the male who has at that time the best shot at mating with the female), and the rest of the boys. Now the boys and escort are constantly fighting trying to gain the escort ...
