      This hike starts in the parking lot of DT Flemmings Beach park. It runs for a little over 6 miles uphill with beautiful views of the mountain ridge lines, lush tropical forests and former coffee and pineapple fields.       ... was plenty of water. Lucky us! David took a hike further up the rocks and into some of the caves. Donna did some recording of the sounds of the water to use in future meditations. On the way back we found some redwood trees. Called Betty's Beach Cafe which overlooks the Feast at Lele, a luau in Lahaina. Got a reservation for 5:45pm.       ... just one backtrack. Getting out of the car, I reached for the camera, went through my bag. No camera. "I can't find the camera." We take everything out of the car...no camera. I'm back to feeling hysterical.
      We go back to Turtle Town, to where we had left our towels and stuff. And AMAZINGLY Jeff finds the camera in some very tall grass. I can't believe it!

      I can't believe we've been gone over 2 weeks already!!!.....Sunday we leave for San Francisco where we will be traveling down the Pacific coast and seeing Alcatraz....I am sure there will be lots of stories there!!!!

      ... swimming and sand castles and we hadn't even hit lunch. I'll spare the hyperbole. Suffice to say, we'll be preachers about the beaches too. Kids are loving it. For provisions, I've picked up a sampler flat from the Kona Brewing Company: Longboard Island Lager (4.6%), Big Wave Golden Ale (4.4%), Castaway IPA (6%), and Fire Rock Pale Ale (6%).
